Thanks to Calico’s support, a once-struggling corner store is thriving

Five years ago I wanted something more for my little business. I had owned the store for almost eight years and it wasn't doing that well. It was your typical corner store with the same stuff everyone else carried: soda pop, chips, chocolate bars, etc. Then I discovered fudge and I haven't looked back since.

I have a silent partner who has been working hand in hand with me since day one in fudge making. It’s Calico Cottage. They take care of all my equipment needs, my sources of stock and inventory, they give me advice on pricing and recipes and they are always giving me ideas on what to try next if I want to. All they ask is that when I buy something for my store I pay on time and in full. As long as I hold up my end of the partnership, they hold up theirs.
